The Gotthard basis tunnel is the heart of the „Neue Eisenbahn Alpen Transversale NEAT“. Two separated tunnels, each 58 km long and linked up via cross heading, are provided with the temporary constructional radio and temporary telephone network by ALPINE-ENERGIE Schweiz AG. That means that during the whole construction phase of the rail engineering equipment such as overhead contact line, trackway, railway safety, etc. the whole communication in the tunnel is handled via our own solutions. The supplied equipment serves as security during the operations. Therefore it is also responsible for the correct transfer of data concerning the predominant temperatures in the tunnel or the actual place where the staff is working. Only after successful conclusion of all tests, e.g. raid rides up to 275 km/h, our equipment will be uninstalled professionally by the ALPINE-ENERGIE Schweiz AG.
