ALPINE-ENERGIE Deutschland GmbH has received an order of the Meinl International Power to erect a 14.5 MWp solar power plant in Almeria in the south of Spain together with the ARGE partners Sinosol and Kraftwerk Sonne.

The selected property is located in the mountains on the edge of Sierra Nevada. The entire project management and the assembly were here coordinated and effected by the AED. Due to challenging terrain gradients the project asked all participants for maximum flexibility and cooperation.

On-site were assembled ca. 85,000 mono- and polycrystalline modules. Modules and power inverter were provided by an ARGE partner. The deadline July 31, 2008 had to be met for sure, in order to ensure our client the feed-in tariff which was valid until September 30, 2008 in Spain. During the construction period of almost seven months the project was handed over to the client within the agreed time.

The plant produces approximately 21,750,000 kWh electricity a year.
