This projects includes extending the railway line Salzburg – Freilassing around Salzburg main station – Taxham (Europark) and constructing a 3-lane railway line. The contract section includes demolition of seven existing bridges without interrupting rail operations. The construction site is in its entirety in the inner city. Several solutions for the traffic had to be found to be able to execute this project as two main traffic routes in Salzburg have been directly affected by this construction site.
Additionally, stations will be build around the cities of Mülln and Aiglhof and connections will be built to the substations (city of Stiegl, track for the loading of oil).
Noise barriers will be installed for the entire railway area. Infrastructure measurements will extend the gas, water and long-distance heating network of Salzburg AG.
This project includes
demolition of existing buildings
earth movement and foundation work
road construction work
construction of retaining walls and rock armour
new construction of bridges at the streets Guggenmoosstraße, Rudolf-Biebl-Straße, Gaswerkgasse, Schwarzstraße and a bridge crossing the river Salzach (using the concrete-steel-bond construction method).
