One of the many challenges for our society is the worldwide increase in energy consumption. In order to meet this need, ensure a supply and in doing so protect our resources, modern energy generating constructions are necessary. Due to its years of experience and extensive commitment in the further development of solutions in this area, ALPINE has been an important partner for national and international clients for many years. An important 2008 power station construction project is the implementation of two cooling towers for a lignite-fired power plant in Neurath, Germany.

Innovation and special solutions
ALPINE has distinguished itself as a technology pioneer in this area through the development of an innovative climbing scaffold and acid-resistant concrete. ALPINE’s innovations can reduce construction time, considerably increase worker safety and lower costs.

Diverse tasks
For ALPINE, power plant construction has revealed itself as having great development potential for the new construction of plants and the modernisation or capacity expansion of existing power plants. For example, the company is significantly involved in the construction of the hydropower plant in Ermenek, Turkey. In the construction of another hydropower plant in Tsankov Kamak in Bulgaria, ALPINE is responsible for the execution of all construction work, for which up to 1,500 workers are active at the same time at the construction site. Here, ALPINE has been able to demonstrate again its distinctive expertise and strengths in the implementation of large complex projects.
