In November 2007 the foundation has been laid for a new and highly efficient coal-fired power plant near the city of Datteln. The power plant block Datteln 4 will set a new standard in energy efficiency and protection of the climate for coal-based energy production. It has an efficiency factor of 45 percent. The commercial commissioning is planned for the beginning of 2011.
Alpine Bau Deutschland constructed 58 individual buildings and/or parts of the plant for the “New construction of the power plant Datteln 4″.
