Voestalpine Stahl GmbH builds a power station in Linz with an electrical performance of 164 MW. Power station 07 generates power for the own use of Voestalpine. It will be constructed between the harbour and the existing power plant. The plant can be operated with coke oven gas and stack gas. In exceptional circumstances it can also be operated with natural gas. In case of gas shortages the power station can quite easily be operated with domestic fuel oil as well. Cooling water is taken from the existing water supply building and fed to the stilling basin. The power station 07 and pump house can be accessed via the streets Kokereistraße, Hafenstraße West and along Kohlenkai.
