Foundation engineering has a special position within the ALPINE group. It is a tight network of the highly specialized subsidiaries “Grund-, Pfahl- und Sonderbau GmbH”, “Universale Grund- und Sonderbau GmbH”, “Stump Spezialtiefbau GmbH”, “Stump Spezialtiefbau spol. s r.o.” and “Stump-Hydrobudowa Sp. z.o.o.”. Together they are referred to as the Foundation Engineering Group.
They are an international competence centre with locations in Austria, Germany, Czech Republic and Poland. Projects are planned and executed that cover every aspect of foundation engineering. Due to the outstanding competence of these five companies, ALPINE has become a leading provider of foundation engineering projects.
High level of specialization
The Foundation Engineering Group performs a multitude of tasks: lifting and pulling of heavy loads, static securing of historic walls as well as key competences such as drilling, micro piles and displacement piles, soil improvement, well sinking, treated walling, sealing walls, thin diaphragm walls, water management, anchors, exploratory drilling, rock-face sealing, low-pressure injections, pressure injections and soil nailing.
Exceptional requirements
To remain a driving force in foundation engineering we continuously develop new technical solutions. The ALPINE Foundation Engineering Group deserves special credit for enabling the construction of projects in 2008. Examples are the bridge across the river Danube at the city of Traismauer. Most of the extremely difficult foundation engineering tasks had to be performed from the water. Another example is the construction of the 33-m-deep excavation pit for the future “Royal Collection Museum” in Madrid. The specialists have been commissioned because of these extremely high technical requirements and their special location right next to the Palacio Royal.
