The VIERTEL ZWEI will be on a ground of about 40.000 m² at Vorgartenstraße/Trabrennstraße in the second Vienna municipal district. This new district will hold attractive offices, a hotel, restaurants and small shops. They will be integrated into a completely green concept with its own lake.
GPS will build an up to 12 m deep excavation pit for the office tower HOCH ZWEI and the office building PLUS ZWEI. A water-tight treated concrete walling will be constructed around this pit as the bottom of the excavation pit is 9 m below ground-water level. The horizontal loads will be distributed by prestressed temporary anchors. These have been completely removed on completion of construction. Nine vertical filter wells have been drills up to 27 m in depth to lower the ground water level.
