Many of ALPINE’s projects are milestones in history and are often part of international observed events. Here, sports and the construction of sports facilities are of particular importance. For example: ALPINE was commissioned to provide the new construction and/or adaptation of a large part of the Austrian stadiums used for the European Soccer Championship in 2008. For EURO 2012 held in Poland and Ukraine, ALPINE currently constructs spectacular new stadiums, such as the Baltic Arena in Danzig and the National Stadium Warsaw.
Projects of international acclaim
ALPINE’s most well-known projects in the construction of modern sports facilities include the Allianz Arena in Munich, the Cricket Stadium in Dubai and the Bergisel-Sprungschanze in Innsbruck, which was constructed together with the famous architect Zaha Hadid.
Most of them are feats of engineering and were all enormous challenges that ALPINE, with the necessary know-how, routines and flexibility, was able to meet to the full satisfaction of its clients, also from an economical point of view. This internationally successful field of operation has proven through outstanding projects that innovative architectural ideas, the best in traditional construction technology and efficiency are factors in successfully constructing modern sport and recreation centres.
