ALPINE builds Austria’s most modern single-tier stadium
The “Niederösterreich Arena” sets new standards in family-friendly, sustainable construction. The stadium will boast a high level of energy efficiency. The football stadium was planned by architect Dr. Stefan Nixdorf, a partner at the “agn Niederberghaus & Partner GmbH” architecture office. Modern architecture will house a monofunctional earthwork stadium with a circular wooden roof construction.
In addition to the 8,000 seats, the stadium will also feature five VIP boxes and a business club for around 800 guests. A unique, extraordinary feature of the blueprint is its flexible expandability. There will be two grass playing fields. The construction meets the highest possible safety and ecological standards and offers handicapped accessible facilities. The family seating area features a kid’s club and provides an open, friendly atmosphere. A wide range of gastronomy services is available to fans, along with a fan shop rounding off the stadium’s offer.
The “Niederösterreich Arena” will be “SKN St. Pölten’s” home stadium. The first home match will be played in the new stadium in the 2nd half of 2012.
