The groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the “New Tivoli” took place in February 1998. Financed by the city of Innsbruck, the state of Tyrol, the Republic of Austria, a “New Tivoli” sports and recreation park will be constructed with the ISpA (Innsbrucker Sportanlagen Errichtungs- und Verwertungs GmbH) taking over the site management. The planning is provided by the Vienna-based architect, Dipl.-Ing. Albert Wimmer.
