We have been commissioned to construct a head race tunnel (HRT) for 4 x 130 MW HEP Tapovan for our client NTPC. We are using a Double Shield TBM and precast hexagonal-shaped segmental lining for the 8-km-long HRT section. The remaining 4.5-km-long section and adits are excavated by road header or drill & blast method
(NATM).
