ALPINE’s activities encompass the entire spectrum of building work, and almost every conceivable service can be provided from a single source. ALPINE benefits from a close-knit network of branch offices across its home market of Austria, which together successfully complete hundreds of small and medium sized projects each year. This solid basis is essential to the Group’s success, since around 43 percent of its overall output was generated in Austria in 2011.
Gaining a competitive edge through synergy
Our far-reaching network of expertise, which includes numerous holdings and subsidiaries, brings about profitable synergies and retains valuable expertise within the Group. High levels of added value within the firm, combined with collaborative opportunities with parent company FCC, are among ALPINE’s main success factors and competitive advantages. Innovative processes, a wide range of technologies and skilled craftsmanship are applied to all of our construction services.
Experience and competence
As well as numerous projects in our home markets of Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, ALPINE recently completed three architecturally noteworthy stadiums for the 2012 European Football Championships in Poland, and the Tsankov Kamak hydropower plant in Bulgaria. ALPINE is currently involved in Europe’s largest railway project, Crossrail, in the construction of two underground railway stations in the City of London, and in the building of the 57 kilometre long Gotthard Base Tunnel. It is also undertaking major infrastructural projects in Norway.
ALPINE is the second largest construction group in Austria and one of the most successful in Europe. In 2011 it had a construction output of about 3.6 billion Euro and employed 15,24 employees.
