Founded in 1965 as a small construction machine trading company in Wals near Salzburg, ALPINE is today one of the leading construction groups in Europe. ALPINE has steadily increased its construction output through solid growth in home markets, regular acquisitions and expansion into foreign markets. In 2011, ALPINE’s 15,294 employees generated a construction output of 3,621 million Euro, an increase of 13.1% despite continuing economic instability. With orders on hand totalling 3.04 million Euro, we are looking optimistically forward into the year 2012.

ALPINE has 87 of its own plants, including asphalt and concrete mixing plants, quarries and brickworks, both in Austria and abroad, and these ensure a secure supply of raw materials. A strong partner, both locally and globally
On the basis of its home markets of Germany, Austria, Czech Republic and Slovakia, ALPINE builds in more than 30 countries, most of which are served by its own branch offices or subsidiaries. ALPINE has a dense network of offices and outlets in Austria which undertake hundreds of small and medium-sized projects every year alongside larger projects. In particular, these include road and sewer construction, building construction and civil engineering.
This is a solid foundation which is crucial to the Group’s success, and around 43% of construction output was undertaken in Austria in 2011. Along with assignments in the company’s core markets, ALPINE undertakes numerous projects in southeastern and eastern Europe. These include infrastructural projects in the construction of roads, bridges and railways. ALPINE is also active in the Middle East and Asia.
