Kematen: The annual ALPINE Bau Golf Cup enjoyed great popularity again this year, drawing business partners and friends to the green for the tenth time. In keeping with its tradition, ALPINE’s Lower Austrian branch invited the construction industry to play golf at the Kremstal Golf Resort’s course in Upper Austria. “It is a pleasure to have the construction industry and our business partners join us on the green each year to socialize and enjoy the atmosphere“, says Ing. Karl Gruber, managing director of ALPINE Bau GmbH, who organized the tournament together with Mag. Michael Frenes, the Lower Austrian branch’s commercial manager. This year over 100 contenders were determined to improve their score on the attractive 18-hole course, making the ALPINE Bau Golf Cup an exuberant event, despite some initial drops of rain.
The motivated players were greeted with a cool “starter beer” at the Birdie Bar before the milestone tournament kicked off. The construction pros braved the changeable weather during the afternoon and played a great game. In the evening Karl Gruber and Michael Frenes announced the lucky winners, Ingo Krieg (Buderus Tiroler Röhren AG) and his partner, Gudrun Barth, who were met by a round of applause. The day of golf came to a close over a delicious Italian pasta buffet with lengthy discussions focusing on the best tee-offs and difficulties in hitting the cup. Delightful business comedy was presented by the cabaret artists, “Die Männer,” applauded by a cheerful audience.
