The groundbreaking ceremony took place on April 10 with a festive tap on the foundation stone according to the Czech tradition, in the presence of the Czech Transport Minister, Milan Simonovský.
Peter Russegger, Alpine’s managing director in the Czech Republic, welcomes the 24-million euro contract. The Jablunkov bypass will have a length of 5.2 kilometers, 11 bridges and is to be open to traffic by the end of 2008.
