Vienna: the construction industry laid down its shovels and went to the traditional art happening at ALPINE’s Vienna branch at the end of January. Representatives from the economy, politics, customers, staff and their friends attended the opening of the exhibition “Cities of the World – A World of Cities” by the spontaneous realism artist VOKA. “The artist’s paintings are of Austria and the neighboring countries in Central and Eastern Europe“, explained Dietmar Aluta-Oltyan, chairman of ALPINE Holding’s supervisory board, drawing a parallel to the ALPINE Group. The exhibition, to be accessible to staff and customers for an entire year, was ceremoniously opened by Federal Chancellor Dr. Alfred Gusenbauer.
Prof. Rupert Fegg, Director of the Bad Reichenhall Art Academy, described the paintings on display and introduced the artist. Visitors were impressed by VOKA’s paintings with their blaze of colors and surprising design, giving meaning to the expression “spontaneous realism“. “We hope to add an artistic flair to everyday construction life and offer interesting artists a platform“, remarked DI Dr. Peter Preindl, Managing Director of ALPINE Bau GmbH.
The opening was accompanied by lively jazz music by “Artett”, delighting over 500 guests.
